    Ever create a folder on the webmail but not see it in you folder list. Or create one in you tbird and not see it next time you login. Go into Account Settings. Go to Server Settings->Advanced. Uncheck the “Show only subscribed folder”. WIN!

    How to make it delete on the server at the same time it deletes out of your tbird. Mine properly moves it to trash when deleted too. Probably because it moves it to a trash folder in tbird, deletes it on server, syncs trash folder to server.

    – Edit / Preferences / Advanced / Config Editor (on Mac) or Tools / Options / Advanced / Config Editor (on Windows)
    -Click the “I’ll be careful, I promise” button
    -search for hidden settings, and right click to add, edit or reset them
    -double-click on the “mail.imap.expunge_after_delete” after the search finds it to set it to “true”.
    -Close, exit, and restart Thunderbird

    Fix for no messages showing up in Unified inbox in Thunderbird.

    1. Shutdown Thunderbird
    2. Delete virtualFolders.dat from the root of your profile directory
    3. Remove the contents of the smart mailboxes directory
    4. Restart Thunderbird

    I suggest we all use integra for sending on our office desktops (suggest means do it or I fire you). This will save on connections to ms365.

    To do this in tbird.

    Go to account settings->Outgoing Server(SMTP)->Add.
    Server Name: smtp.integra.net
    Port: 25
    Auth Type: none

    I also suggest syncing sent folder. See my next post.

    How to setup so that Sent folder is the same on both tbird and office365.

    Account Settings->Copies & Folders.
    Choose Other under the “When sending messages, automatically” section. Under the IMAP account you’re using find “Sent Items”. Choose that.

    Now anything sent online goes to “Sent Items” and anything sent from tbird goes to “Sent Items”.
