Always find myself googling this...
openssl req -x509 -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout key.pem -out cert.pem -days 1000 -nodes

Here’s a security statement I crafted. To be used when a customer requests it. This one is specifically built for customers on Media Temple machines. When we need one for SB machines I’ll create text to replace the Media Temple section.
Information and Data Security Compliance Statement
Meta 13 makes every effort to follow industry standard security measures to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All financial information is encrypted during transmission, and our company databases are accessible only to internal employees.
The security and privacy of your data is a core part of our business, and is our top priority. This document provides our customers with our corporate statement regarding our data security program, and a review of the process we follow regarding our commitment to information security and compliance.
Meta 13 uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for mutual authentication, data encryption and data integrity. SSL is the industry standard security protocol to encode sensitive information, such as your credit card number. SSL creates a shared digital key, which only lets the sender and the receiver of the transmission scramble or unscramble information.
Local Data and Physical Redundancy
In addition to SSL encryption, your account/data is protected by a mandatory user ID and password. Any password-protected areas of Meta 13 services can be accessed only with a valid password. Each password owner is responsible for keeping the password secret and confidential, and for notifying Meta 13 if the password may have been stolen or might otherwise be misused.
Meta 13 customer databases are backed up locally nightly and website files are backed up weekly. All Meta 13 customer data is also backed up to an offsite location periodically. This creates at least 3 versions of the site at any time.
Meta 13 conducts weekly security vulnerability scanning of it’s servers, to identify potential security holes. Security vulnerability scanning is conducted by Watchdog security software offered through our hosting control panel, Plesk.
The server that hosts your site is securely located in a state-of-the-art facility that is managed by Media Temple, a premiere provider of managed hosting and advanced connectivity solutions. Meta 13 has chosen Media Temple because of their reputation for quality service and support as well as their unparalleled reputation for reliably hosting many of the Internet’s most trafficked web systems.
Media Temple’s newest data center is located in Ashburn, Virginia. With a total of 171,200 sq. feet available for operations, this all-new Data Center represents the pinnacle of achievement for Data Center Operators, DuPont Fabros. Built from the ground up and launched in 2007, VA-IDC4 is considered to be the prototype for future ground-up development projects and DuPont Fabros believes its flexible design and enhanced power and cooling capacity make it one of the leading data center facilities in the world.
VA-IDC4 is situated on 17 acres of land at the Ashburn Corporate Center in Loudoun County, Virginia. Ground-up development began in 2006 and was completed in late 2007. The facility’s flexible design and enhanced power and cooling capacity make it one of the leading data center facilities in the world. The raised square footage is divided into 20 separate computer rooms, each of which is served by an independent and dedicated critical electrical backup system. This design enables each computer room to function independently. VA-IDC4 consists of approximately 300,000 gross square feet (not including 40,000 square feet dedicated to housing generators) and 171,300 raised square feet, with a critical load of 36.4 MW.
34.5 kV power feed provided by Dominion Virginia Power
Dual Input 300kVA PDU’s (power distribution units) – 600 volt primary, in our data room, each fed from a preferred source and back-up source.
The facility uses one CPS (continuous power supply) and we have our own CPS unit that serves our data room (N+1).
32 Rotary power systems with 1300 kW of critical output for N+2 redundancy
32 diesel-powered emergency generators with 2,250 kW capacity for N+2 redundancy
200,000 gallons of fuel on-site, comprised of four 50,000 gallon tanks. The facility is also on the emergency fuel list in case of a natural disaster.
HVAC / Heat Rejection
8,860 tons total refrigeration capacity (8 Chillers at 1080 Tons each).
26 CRACs (Computer Room Air Conditioner) units inside our data room.
One chemical treatment station.
Six chillers can handle total maximum load, giving building N+2 redundancy.
Double interlock, pre-action system enabled by activation of VESDA (very early smoke detection alarm) and/or smoke detectors. Loss of air pressure in the pipes caused by a broken sprinkler head will cause water to discharge only if smoke detection is present. The system is monitored 24×7 by onsite personnel.
